SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Hristo V. Kojouharov is a Professor of Mathematics and the Graduate Advisor for the
Ph.D. and M.S. Programs in Mathematics at the University of Texas at Arlington.
He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Wyoming in 1998,
and then spent two years as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Arizona State University.
He was appointed to the faculty at UT Arlington in 2000.
At present, Dr. Kojouharov is the Faculty Advisor for the student chapter of the Mathematical Association of America
(MAA) at UTA and one of the faculty members in the
NSF S-STEM SURGE program and in the DOE GAANN program at UTA.
He has been the director of the NSF funded UTTER
(Undergraduate Training in Theoretical Ecology Research)
program and has also been heavily involved with the NSF GK-12 program at UTA.
In addition, he is the director of the Annual UTA Calculus Bowl competition
at the high-school level and was also of the
Annual MAA Texas Section Calculus Bowl at the college/university level.
